## The free WhatsApp alternative for running a sports team

WhatsApp is great for talking. Running a team takes more: a schedule, a headcount for every game, a lineup and who still owes. BenchApp keeps the chat and adds the rest.

BenchApp: BenchApp Free gives every team a season schedule, RSVPs with automatic reminders, lineups, fee tracking, player stats and team, group and private chat. PRO adds text-message RSVPs, so players can reply Yes or No without opening any app, for $9 per month per team.

WhatsApp: WhatsApp is a great place to talk with your team, and most players already have it. But it wasn't built to run a team: the schedule, the headcount for each game, the lineup and who still owes all end up scattered through the chat.

## Why teams outgrow the group chat

The question that matters, who's coming on Thursday, gets buried under memes and replies. Someone has to count thumbs, chase the quiet ones and remember who paid. BenchApp does the counting and the chasing for you.

## Keep WhatsApp for the banter

You don't have to give up the group chat. Keep it for the social side and use BenchApp for the schedule, RSVPs, lineups and fees, so the important stuff never scrolls away.

## Switching takes a few minutes

Create your team, share the team code in the WhatsApp group and players join themselves. Add the schedule and the RSVPs and reminders start on their own.
