Soccer lineup generator
Type in your roster, choose the format and how many periods you play, and get a lineup for every half or quarter. Playing time is split as evenly as the numbers allow and positions rotate so nobody is stuck on the bench or at fullback all game.
Free. No sign-up. Nothing you type leaves your device.
How to make a soccer lineup
- Paste or type your players, one per line. Leave off anyone who isn't coming.
- Pick the format (4v4, 5v5, 7v7, 9v9 or 11v11) and whether you play halves or quarters.
- Optional: name a keeper who stays in goal all game. Otherwise the keeper spot rotates too.
- Press Generate lineup. Shuffle until you like it, then print it or copy it into your team chat.
How the rotation stays fair
Each period, the players who have played the fewest periods go on first, and anyone who sat the last period gets priority. With 10 players in 7v7 over four quarters, that's 28 spots to share: eight players sit one quarter and two players sit two.
Positions rotate too: each player is given the open position they've played least, so a kid who started at defence gets a turn in midfield or up front. The playing-time table under the lineup shows the count for every player, so you can show parents the split is even.
Formats and positions
4v4 is played without a keeper (two defenders, two forwards). 5v5 adds a keeper. 7v7 uses a 2-3-1, 9v9 a 3-3-2 and 11v11 a 4-4-2. Want a different shape? Lay it out on the soccer formation maker and use this page for who plays when.

FAQ
Questions, answered.
Is the soccer lineup generator free?
Yes. It runs in your browser, there's nothing to sign up for, and your player names never leave your device.
How do I give every player equal playing time in youth soccer?
Split the game into periods (quarters make it easier), then sit the players who have played the most each period. This generator does that for you and shows each player's total so you can check the split before the game.
Can I keep one goalkeeper for the whole game?
Yes. Type the keeper's name in the goalkeeper box and they'll stay in goal every period while everyone else rotates.
Can I print the lineup?
Yes. Press Print and you get a clean one-page lineup with every period and the playing-time table, ready for the clipboard.
What if only some players show up?
Generate the lineup from the players who are actually there. In BenchApp, the lineup editor starts from your RSVPs, so you're already working from who said they're coming.
